The CFD Dive and Rescue Team, or DART, as it is called, was started in 2005 after another drowning at Greenlawn Dam. It is an ongoing task, and still being completed, but the Division has 53 public safety divers ready. They have spent almost 2 years learning the basics of SCUBA diving, then moved onto blackwater training in some of Central Ohio’s dark waters. Hopefully, just after the new year, the team will be placed in service.
